The latest information from RMHC Augusta
As of 3/18/20
In response to the need for individual and civic duty to the health and well-being of people in the CSRA, RMHC Augusta has made the decision to suspend accepting new families into the Ronald McDonald House beginning Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Families currently staying at our House may remain, as long as we are able to sustain operations.
As of 3/17/20
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta will continue to provide a caring and comfortable home for families with a child in a medical crisis. We will be following all CDC and local health department protocols to protect the health and safety of these families, our volunteers, and staff. As you know, RMHC Augusta serves many immune-suppressed children and families in communal living environments. To reduce the possibility of infection, we are temporarily suspending our volunteer programs, including individual and group volunteer activities/service groups and closing our House to visitors, including the use of the conference room.
However, this temporary disruption in programming will leave our guests without many of the resources that they have come to count on from RMHC Augusta, including daily meals through our Meals that Mend program. For more information on how you can donate meals contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Alaya Johnson, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
